Whether you are a biker, walker, hunter, golfer, boater ... etc, there are things to do in our area.
If you are a golfer, we have choices. Both of Lago Vista's 18 hole courses are a short distance from Carisbrooke, and welcome non-member visitors. The Lago Vista (Country Club) Course (above) offers broad fairways and moderate hills. The Highland Lakes Course (below) is said to be more challenging.
Well of course we have a lake. In fact we have THE Lake Travis, a serpentine body of water stretching almost 60 miles upstream from Mansfield Dam toward Marble Falls. The ideal playground for almost all water sports.
Pictured above is the east-west reach of Lake Travis running along the south shore of Lago Vista.
Below are wave runners, bow-rider power boats and pontoons (for a more sedate ride!), which can be rented in Lago Vista at Precision Watercraft Rentals: (512)267-2002.
Hunt & Fish?
Yes, you can do these too while staying at Carisbrooke. However, we have to admit to being somewhat ignorant of these activities and will have to do some research if you need it. We shall gladly do so, and you need only ask.
Vineyards & Wine Tasting?
The Flat Creek Estate is located close to Lago Vista, and is available for tours, subject to appointment. For detail, please call (512) 267-6310, or visit them at FlatCreekEstate.com.
Birding & Walking?
